ModernBill Version 5.0 Price Change is Coming!
Many of you have asked about upcoming price changes with the release of Version 5.0. Those who have been helping us through beta testing and the release candidates know that Version 5.0 is a significant advance in billing software for the entire industry and justifies a price adjustment. As is our custom, we are announcing our price increase well in advance of the actual price change to ensure that those who wish to take advantage of current pricing have the opportunity to do so in a reasonable time frame. We do this to demonstrate the respect we have for those customers who have been instrumental in the development of the product. To see the upcoming pricing, go to:

As you can see from this list, the pricing for most customers has not changed much at all. We want ModernBill to continue to be affordable for all the great small businesses that make up the vast majority of the companies in the industry. We still have a sub $200 license and reasonable monthly fees on recurring licenses.
If you have an Owned license, please note that the tier upgrades remain relatively unchanged from previous pricing. You simply pay the difference in the tiers at the time of the upgrade. If you have an Owned Unlimited today, congratulations on your good fortune. However, given the new pricing structure, we will no longer approve license transfers to others on Unlimited licenses.
If you are currently a Leased Unlimited customer, you will automatically be transitioned with the release of Version 5 to the Recurring V5 ModernBill 1000 unless you choose to upgrade to a larger license. This will not affect the operation of your Version 4 license until you move to Version 5. If you are a recurring customer looking to upgrade to a perpetual license, remember that you will get a Google Adwords Credit with the purchase of an Owned 250, 500 or 1000 with your purchase.
Finally, the big question: WHEN?
The price increases will take effect on the day that Version 5 is declared a stable release. Currently, we expect that it will be no later than Mid-June depending on how RC3 testing goes. This should give you about a month or so to make your decision.
